Freja Bone Broth Soup – Pea, Leek & Lemon

We probably shouldn't have favourites. But we do.

Of the three new Freja Bone Broth Soups, Pea, Leek & Lemon was the runaway favourite here at Emberton Fayre. And having tasted it, it's not difficult to see why.

Sweet green peas and gently savoury leek make a wonderfully comforting combination, but it's the touch of lemon that really makes this one stand out – bringing a fresh, bright lift that keeps you coming back for another spoonful.

And, of course, this is Freja, so there's more going on beneath the flavour.

Most soup starts with water. Freja starts with slow-cooked chicken bone broth. That means protein, naturally occurring collagen and proper savoury flavour are already in the base before the peas, leek and other ingredients go in.

High in protein, a source of fibre, gluten free and made with natural ingredients, it's a genuinely satisfying lunch that also happens to taste rather special. Each generous 560g pouch serves two – although judging by the reaction in our office, sharing may be optimistic.
