They are based just south of Kyparissia, on the west coast of the Peloponnese, Greece and bring extra virgin olive oil from their village to the UK. More than just a business, \u003cstrong\u003eHonest Toil\u003c\/strong\u003e is also the history of their wanderings and a way to connect homes \u0026amp; families. For this reason, they take it especially seriously.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eWhile harvesting in their own small groves, they also work together with other smallholders and the local press, supporting the local economy and making sure that the high-quality extra virgin olive oil from the area doesn't end up blended into commercial oils by big companies. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"MsoNormal\"\u003eAs the two of them have a uniquely direct control over the whole process, from picking to pressing and packing, they always have the fresh oil available by January each year. \u003cbr\u003eThe fact that they’re so hands-on also enables them to have sustainability at the core of the project. The olives used for \u003cstrong\u003eHonest Toil\u003c\/strong\u003e oil come exclusively from small family farms, and are hand-harvested using traditional methods, without unnecessary strain on the tree or the disruption of wildlife. Cold-pressed from early-harvest olives in Kyparissia, Peloponnese, Honest Toil Extra Virgin Olive Oil is produced in small batches using traditional methods. Olives are hand-picked and pressed within hours of harvest at a local mill, ensuring exceptional freshness and purity.
This is an early-harvest agoureleo oil, made exclusively from Koroneiki olives, prized for their naturally high polyphenol content. The result is a strikingly fresh olive oil with a vibrant green colour, clean grassy aromas and a gentle peppery finish.
Thanks to careful harvesting and pressing, this batch achieves an exceptionally low acidity of 0.2–0.3%, well below the legal threshold for extra virgin olive oil, indicating outstanding quality.
Unfiltered and unblended, Honest Toil olive oil is best enjoyed simply — drizzled over salads, vegetables, grilled fish or with fresh bread — where its freshness and character can shine.
