Emberton Fayre recipe suggestions

Traditional version (with Chicken):

  1. Fry the Chicken:
    • In a large pan, heat a little vegetable or sesame oil over medium heat.
    • Add 400g of diced chicken breast and fry until cooked through and lightly golden.
  2. Finish the Dish:
    • Pour in our Sweet & Sour Chinese Sauce over the chicken.
    • Continue cooking until the dish is piping hot and the sauce has melded with the chicken.
    • Serve immediately with egg-fried rice or noodles.

Vegan version:

  1. Prepare the Tofu & Mushrooms:
    • In a large pan, heat a small amount of vegetable or sesame oil over medium heat.
    • Fry 300–400g of diced tofu along with oyster mushrooms until they are cooked through and lightly crisp.
  2. Finish the Dish:
    • Add the Sweet & Sour Chinese Sauce and continue to cook until the tofu and mushrooms are piping hot.
    • Serve with fried rice or noodles.

Ingredients:
Pineapple Juice (from concentrate), Rice Vinegar (8%), Sugar, Onions, Bamboo Shoots, Tomato Paste, Red and Green Peppers, Cornflour, Garlic, Ginger, Sunflower Oil, Salt, Szechuan Pepper (0.7%).
