Classic Neapolitan Pasta Puttanesca

A bold and flavorful Italian dish, Pasta Puttanesca is a perfect balance of salty, tangy, and spicy flavors. Using Potts' Neapolitan Puttanesca Sauce, this quick and easy recipe delivers an authentic taste of Naples in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients (Serves 2-3):

  • 1 can Potts' Neapolitan Puttanesca Sauce
  • 250g spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ½ tsp chilli flakes (optional, for extra heat)
  • 8-10 black olives, sliced
  • 1 tbsp capers, drained
  • 100g cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
  • Fresh parsley or basil, chopped
  • Grated Parmesan or vegan alternative, to serve
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving ½ cup of pasta water.
  2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sautéing until softened.
  3. Stir in the chilli flakes, olives, capers, and cherry tomatoes (if using), cooking for 2 minutes.
  4. Pour in Potts' Neapolitan Puttanesca Sauce, stirring well. Simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta, adding a splash of the reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce. Season with salt & black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley/basil and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan or vegan cheese.

🔥 Serving Suggestion: Enjoy with a side of crusty garlic bread and a glass of Italian red wine for the full experience!
